Show Horse Breeds
Although they are not limited to this list, we have detailed a few of the most commonly known and distinguishable breeds found in the show-biz. Each is very diverse from the next, and we have highlighted what makes them so unique and great.
Arabian Horse Breed
Arabian horses are set apart from their counterbreeds by a small and chiseled head, short straight back, and high-set tail. Their coats can be an array of colors, but bay, grey, and chestnut are the most common. Arabians have a naturally calm and friendly disposition. They are known to be quite fast and make for great racehorses!
Clydesdale Horse Breed
This large and powerful horse is a Scottish breed formerly known for their work on farms. Known for their knee-length furry boots, often white, distinct facial markings, and splashed bellies, they are now popular breeds at horse shows. Although they are referred to as gentle giants, their strength and large stature can make them tough to train. However, they are excellent show-goers once they get the hang of it! The most famous Clydesdale are likely those found at Warm Springs Ranch, the home of the Budweiser Clydesdales.

Friesian Horse Breed
Originating in Friesland, Netherlands, this breed is mainly distinguishable by its luxurious black coat. Occasionally, they may appear brown as some of these steeds carry a red gene! Described as graceful and nimble, these horses are excellent candidates for show events such as jumping and dressage.
